The size of the ladybug itself is 5mm. I have small ears and was able to put the earrings through but I do think they should make 8mm posts too because that is also a standard piercing size with most jewelers and if I hurt my ears I like to switch to 8mm backings.
I recommend if you’re struggling to put them on to use a flatback insertion tool or a normal earring to put the back on, and use a bead grabber tool to screw the front on.
